There’s been a lot of excitement this week about a trailer for another game. Apparently people have been waiting quite a long time for it.
Several imaginary investors have asked whether SHITSHOW is concerned about competing with a major open-world franchise. I’ve reassured them that our market positions are very different. They have a marketing department. I have a browser tab.
They can assemble thousands of people to deliver an astonishingly detailed world. I can assemble three free evenings, provided nothing good is on television.
That said, there are similarities. We both have ambitious plans. We both attract speculation about when the game might arrive. We both have files that probably shouldn’t be named “final”.
I briefly considered making a teaser for an announcement of a trailer. Then I remembered that would require three separate things to be finished.
SHITSHOW’s next major reveal will be announced when there is something to reveal.
Until then, please enjoy the reassuring knowledge that somewhere on this computer, a project folder continues to exist. The industry calls this an active development pipeline.
